Can you do an error checking in Windows 98 like in Windows XP? If so, how do you do it?
Reason I ask, is friend has a HTMLHOST.DLL file missing.

Peggy...
No, not in Win 98...
That error message is kind of suspicious, because "HTMLHOST.DLL" is definitely not Windows file.
"Windows Mobile Version 5.0" for "Pocket PC", creates a directory named "HTMLHOST", but it has nothing to do with Win 98...
You can see it:
HERE
and
HERE
...
I did search for "HTMLHOST.DLL", and I came up empty.
It may be some nasty, but you'll have to provide some more info about your friend computer...How is his/her security?

I kinda thought this myself, but wasn't sure.

I think the best thing is not investigate it any further. The reason why is.........and ya'll will die hearing this............................

This friend, is 'I know everything, you can't tell me anything type person". Just because her brother is computer programmer......LOL.

Anyway, while there I saw tons, and I do mean tons of junk on her computer. LOL.....every time she does one little thing she cleans it....LOL. I watched as she ran Spbot & Ad-aware................when the program got finished running, instead of clicking on next to fix the problem...........she just X's out....LOL. I guess she must think just because you run it, it fixes itself. I don't know, not going to waste my time on her, since she want listen. But I was dying laughing.
