Greeting all from Southeastern Iowa.
A few days ago I updated my software using update checker. After going through the list I rebooted and my computer had gone south. It is now slow and when scrolling it has more of a wave action then a smooth scroll. This is a Dell 8400 so it is old but has for the most part been a good machine. The good Dr. Broni helped me pull it out of the scrap heap one time before so again I'm hoping someone can wave some magic on it. Thank You for any help.
Respectfully,
gunner15 :head_wall:
I'm sorry I said driver updates when I meant software updates my apologies.

Why did you update drivers?
Did you use some driver checker/updater program? If so, which one?

It was software update using update checker, sorry about saying driver update. Should have put the brain into operation before putting fingers to the keyboard.

This one: http://www.filehippo.../updatechecker/ ?
It shouldn't cause any problems.
Not smooth scrolling is your only issue?

That is the one, scrolling and now the computer is slower than heck. This all started after updating unless there was another problem and it surfaced at the same time???

Yes I did Dr. restore at an earlier date: It kept coming up unable to restore even when I tried the day before it started acting up. Thank You for your response.

Click on Download HijackThis Installer
Post HijackTHis log.

I'd like to see what's running there.

Give us also your computer info: processor speed, amount of RAM, hard drive size/free space.
