Every time I open my Webshots and use it Winpatrol always pops up with the Webshots Launcher wanting to start up every time I start my computer. I always click on NO.
I have went into Winpatrol and removed it, but it keeps coming back. It is in C:/program files/webshots/launcher. See pics below.
Can I just delete that file and still have Webshots work?

No. That exe file is what launches the photo manager. Just follow the pathway "C:/program files/webshots/launcher.exe" and double click on the launcher file, your photo manager will launch. If you delete the file it won't ever launch again unless you reinstall Webshots Desktop.

I don't and won't use annoying programs like WinPatrol but there should be a setting that can be changed so it trusts webshots.

Note: If you ever want to see the affects of deleting a file without actually deleting the file just change the name of the file in question by one letter or number. That way you can always change it back without any adverse affects.

Wait a sec. Do you actually want to use Webshots, or not?
If yes, then you should allow it in Winpatrol, by clicking Yes, not No.

Yes, I want to use Webshots, but I don't want it to start up with my computer everytime I start up. The only thing that starts with my computer is my AV & something called NvCplDaemon, which I don't know what that is and was scared to not run it at start up.
Hope I didn't confuse you.

I want to drive my car but I don't want to start it up. <----- similar statement

Peggy, I've been using webshots for years. I install it on all of my customers computers. It's perfectly safe. It has to run in order to change your desktop background pic's.

NvCplDaemon can be disabled in msconfig.

It sounds like you're getting too paranoid Peggy.

You don't have to worry about JR anymore. He was abducted by aliens tonight.
