I used to have an envelope to notify me of new mail (it used to appear by the date). Since I've had XP reinstalled I haven't had it. I have to go into Outlook Express to see messages - when I am in Outlook Express the envelope shows up!! Thank you!!

Yes - I always turn it off at night (otherwise it disturbs me) - so it was turned rebooted. I have noticed that the other things don't run correctly. For instance, I said 'always hide' messenger - but it is still in the notification area! :head_wall:
