I had an error message come up saying that there was a hardware problem attached to a USB and it then crashed out of Vista. I rebooted it with a Vista boot disc this could not complete the boot and the screen went blank. I turned it off disconected it from the mains, reconected back to the mains and booted it up.power is on but nothing screen canot find a digital signal and no BIOS. Any suggestions where I start :FU: :crying: :help:

I would start by disconnecting USB devices. I had a USB hub go and that is the same way mine acted. Another member had similar problem few weeks ago and this is how he solved it also. He had a bad USB card.

With all due respect and apologies in advance if my opinion is not shared here but cross posting to multiple help forums is really unhelpful. Especially in hardware and or software issues where a back and forth dialog is ongoing containing changes underway.

If someone were helping you here I would not know it over there unless as now I am reading both forums.

Likewise anyone here trying to help would not know you have already taken steps I suggested over there.

Anyway I just wanted to point this out and again if the staff and friends here disagree with me please let me know.

Hi bootneck02...

Just deleted my own post...I realized what jephree was talking about...you also posted your issue in the D-A-L Forum...

jephree is correct...you should never post your issue in multiple forums as one forum could be telling you to do "this" and the other forum could be telling you to do "that" and what happens is both "fixes" could cause one to fail. THe best way to handle it is to use one forum then if the other forum could not help then definitely post in another. I'm sure jephree is taking great care of you in the D-A-L forum so we should "close" this thread and let jephree help you over there.
