Anyone remember that little program you use to enlarge a section of text, photos, etc. that has the little yellow hand as an icon? I have it on the other computer but forgot the name. It's a free utility...something like Print Screen but it does much more in that you can copy only a section

Shouldn't it be visible in Add/remove programs? A quick scroll down the list might do the trick...

"IfanView" can do those kind of things. I use it all the time. The Home Page is HERE. It's out os Bosnia.

You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape.
If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40.
If it moves and shouldn't, use duct tape.

I've got IrfanView, Harry but seldom use it like I would Screen Hunter. Thanks, dobhar. That's the word I couldn't come up with.

It sure works different with Vista than it did with windows. Now it puts whatever you blocked off on the desktop instead of My Pictures where it use to and included a lot of extraneous information as well...must be a tweak of some sort as I got an older(4.0) version and it does just like ver 5.0 does. Vista must place things differently. I don't know how the red text got in there.

Hi David...
You need to edit the settings...the default is save to desktop and add the text to the pic.
To change default "Save" folder...
- Click on "To"
- On the bottom of the Window click on the "folder" and "browse" to where you want ScreenHunter to save files...

To remove the "Red" wrinting:
- Click on the "From"
- Remove the "Auto Text" check mark
- If you want to keep the "Text" on your caputres then you can click on the Auto Text "Options" and make your changes...

Thank you, my good man. I must have an older version(prior ver 4) of this program as I can't recall doing all this on the other computer. It's a neat little program I wanted for this computer.
