Just went to MS Update and downloading Vista SP2 as I write this. FYI!
If you don't have time to do it right
...when will you have time to do it over?

343.9 MB download for my system and approx 4 minute "install" plus 1 re-boot.

Download was slow (approx 15 min) with frequent "stalls" probably due to heavy load.

I'll try my laptop today. I'll wait with the desktop, and I'll see how my laptop is doing.
Sneaky, huh?

Interesting...
Downloaded, started to install, and then Windows restarted to complete changes.
But, on the reboot:

Some changes couldn't be completed. Will try on restart
It restarted, went to 96% of a stage 1, and:

Service Pack didn't install. Reverting changes
Crap.

Not to rub it in...but I had no problem. Updating my wife's computer now (downloading) and will let you know how it turns out.

Failed twice, so I have enough of it for now.
I'll try standalone one, when I have time.
Maybe some running programs are interfering.

Okay, I'm two for two - uneventful on my wife's computer. Sorry about your trouble...

Honestly, never happened to me before with any single update, and the laptop is just my backup computer, so not too much stuff installed there.
I downloaded standalone SP2, and I'll give it a shot, when I have more time.
