It's better to remove that damn thing, if you have it on your computer:
1. Make sure Firefox is closed
2. Delete all subfolders and files from C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\Windows Presentation Foundation\DotNetAssistantExtension folder. Leave the folder itself alone.
3. In Firefox, in the address tab, type about:config and hit Enter.
In Filter bar, put the following string: general.useragent.extra.microsoftdotnet
Right click on entry and click Reset
