It seems lately there are more and more updates for Vista than ever before in the last six months. I received several I haven't downloaded as yet and really don't see the need to since it's mostly involving an " Extended Protection for Authentication" for IE8, which I don't use. Can anyone see that this is a necessary addition to an already ongoing barrage of updates?

Dave
It doesn't matter, if you use IE8, or not. It's still on your computer, so you should get those updates.

It seemed like lately there was an abundance of update notifications every other day for the past month or so. Then, another release of a prior update bundled with another and on it goes. Those updates aren't very big so, I guess I may as well download them.
