Having said that, I put Win7 on the computer I built my daughter lol. All Win7 is, is Vista with all the original bugs worked out and renamed........

Crashes are caused by one or two files in a program that you are using. 9 times out of 10 it's just a corrupt file that needs to be replaced which is easy to do. Just disable the automatic restart tool so you will get a blue screen and google the error code.
My theory is that we've been brain washed to do all this stuff thinking that it's like a tuning up a car and it will run better. That said, I respect the folks that cleanup regularly, it can't hurt to do so. I just choose not to bother anymore.
