Friend thinks she has virus or something on her computer. Have it here at the house, but when I hooked everything up it will not go pass the PCI screen. It looks like the pic below except at the top it says..........Sec. Slave Disk: None
Pri. Master Disk HDD S.M.A.R.T. capability.......disabled, then it show all the listings like the pic below, after that at the bottom it says.......
Verifying DMI Pool Data......
Boot From CD:
A Disk read error occurred.

How do I get to the desk top?

Have you tried pressing F8 several times during the boot up sequence? If you can get to this screen, it will give you further booting options, such as "Safe Mode" in order to troubleshoot the problem.
