You windows users know how you are greeted with your Windows Login .wav .
Well. I upgraded my older IBM A22 from AntiX 8.5rc3 to AntiX 8.5 Final yesterday. And I decided I was going to personalize this Laptop like nobody elses. I downloaded the below .wav file.
[attachment=61475:startup4.wav.zip]
Just unzip and play if you want to hear it.
I went into my /home folder. Kinda like a super duper My Documents for you windows users.
I select view hidden files in my file manager called Pcmanfm.
I create a new folder called sounds in the .icewm directory/folder
I then paste that .wav into that newly created sounds folder.
Backing up till I get to the internals of .icewm folder. In that folder is the menu file, toolbar file plus others. I go to the one that is named startup.
Then All I need to do is add the path of that sound to the startup file to get my custom login sound.
########## PLAY STARTUP SOUND ######### #play /usr/share/sounds/Pardus_Rocks/Pardus_Rocks-Logout.ogg > /dev/null 2>&1 & play /home/harry/.icewm/sounds/startup4.wav
I think it beats the heck out of the Windows Login sound. Next I think I will customize the logout sound to sound like a harley riding away down the road.
