When I try to add to or amend any document I create with OO Writer, I am plagued with constant freezing (hanging). Is any one else having this problem with this or who can possibly suggest a cure?

Is this something new, or has it always done that. I just finished about a 20 page document for an organization and it was saved, opened, cut, pasted, etc. many times before we finished, and I did not have any problems.
Do you have the latest? I was using 3.0 but know there are later vers. and I think a 3.3 Beta.
So, as far as I know, it is not the program.

I am using 3.2.1 with no problems. Perhaps as Broni suggested uninstall reinstall.
