Been busting my butt. Trying to learn something new. I am kinda a developer/tester for the above Linux distro and I do tutorials and experiments to advance my computer expertise. This latest trial has been a doozy so far. I have been digging into the Linux Kernel to try and modify a module/driver for a specific piece of Hardware.

My Wireless Card in my EEEPC 701SD. You see. The devloper of the kernel I am using stripped out the module that was included in the stock kernel. So I hafta to figure out a way to install said module in the kernel. Being a Biker with a GED. This stuff is in the stratosphere as far as me knowing what I am doing. The hard Part. I am running Live Linux with persistence. Can't upgrade the kernel to a newer version. Because it will kill live boot. I would not have this problem with a hard install. This install I am using is called a frugal type install.

Anyhows. If anybody is interested. My adventures so far below.

Sorry, Bad Momma cannot help you there--it would take more than a bent paper clip! Looks like a challenge--Good Luck. I admire your persistence.
