This machine only has a recovery partition - no disks, and my Vista disk is without SP1.
If you don't have time to do it right
...when will you have time to do it over?

Run "sfc" anyway. With Vista, there is a good chance, it won't ask you for DVD.

I asked about Vista DVD, in case, we have to run repair installation. We can slipstream SP1 into your DVD, no worries.

Sorry about the delay - I took the computer back to the neighbor with SP1 still on it. From what I found on the machine, they'll be back in awhile with another nasty; then, I'll just have them re-install Vista from the recovery partition. That will fix the "file corruption" problem!
