:man_stuck_in_computer_monitor_s Help!
I think I have a bad hard drive.
I use 'Speccy" ( by Revo) to look at what's happenin' inside..and yesterday I noticed my H/D had so many errors that it scored the 'worst'.

3 hours ago I got my 1st blue screen on this old machine...it said it had to stop running or it would damage the hardware and gave me the 8E error.

From what I have deducted..I need a harddrive..:bald_head:

I need to make a copy of this drive NOW..B4 it dies and I can't..
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
systemmistress

I copied my Hardrive over using Puppeee Linux. But that won't make sense to you. For free image Linux cloning.

I remember smokey put up a how to for using Ghost on this forum somewhere using a floppy disk.

found it

Guess those images got lost with the forum trimming.

Try these folks. I use their partitioning program, that I got for free also. Hasn't done me wrong yet.

If not, just Google 'Free Backup Software' Some of it is good, some of it is shaky.... Any questions, come back here, I'm sure someone can help!!

You need to get a drive to back it up to first.....

Oh, and BTW - WELCOME.... :smiley_says_hello:

After re-reading your post, you may not need a new HD. But you DO need to back-up your stuff, and then test the stuffing out of the old drive, just to make sure..... THEN maybe get a new drive.
