Hello to all;
Arriving new with this first post on SC!!I have had this small tricky problem with my media player,When i go to find album info,everything goes well,i pick my album art,set it up properly and when album info window closes i not only have not recieved my requested album art but it totally deletes my song(mp3).I thought maybe it could be a faulty plug in,would that be considered a plug in?i don't think so because i was unable to find anything on album art info plug in for WMP.Thank you for the info!!!!

That's impossible. Not to mention, there is no such thing as 3.5 service pack.
Where do you see those?

Download Security Check from HERE, and save it to your Desktop.

* Double-click SecurityCheck.exe
* Follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
* A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.

Windows XP Service Pack 3

All well.
However, you're running two AV programs, which is a NO-NO.
One of them has to go.
If AVG (preferably), use this tool to uninstall it: http://www.appremover.com/

like Mr B said there are only sp's 1-2-3,and they enhance each other not conflict. WMP 11 is the worst media player in windows history it is frout with weird glitches I can't stand it personally, I stick 9.xx. 11 does erase the whole file {not supposed but it did for me no matter what I tried}

I'm new in here, but my 2 cents would be to quit using WMP and go for one of the Free ones.In the new versions of WMP if you don't have a license to use certain music you either have to buy it or it deletes the song from your Hard drive. There are many good ones to choose from. I like KMPlayer, easy to use and does alot and it's free.KMPlayer
My second choice would be VLC media player, VLC

AVG is nothing but bad news...
Instead of a LinkScanner, use WOT: http://www.mywot.com/en/download

that's the one i mentioned in one of my above posts,but it can only be used with firefox,which is okay for us firefox users but what about those that don't use firefox??generally speaking i don't know of any other real time link virus scanners.i guess that with a good anti virus it would automatically be done,meaning if there was a threat your anti virus would'nt even let u into the site.right?
