I found this interesting.....thought I would share it...

Weekly Technology News
Microsoft shuts down OGA - Sometimes Microsoft does things that are strange, but in this instance it was a good thing. OGA is "Office Genuine Advantage", a counter-piracy measure used in the Microsoft Office software. Without any fanfare whatsoever, Microsoft stopped using OGA. What does this mean for you? It means no more (for now) "validation" nag notices whenever you want to install a MS Office add-in. Cool!

Firefox to introduce do-not-track feature in 2011 - With online privacy becoming more of a concern to many, Mozilla is stepping up to the plate by introducing a do-not-track feature into the popular Firefox browser in early 2011. This is in reaction to advertising and social networks that are becoming a bit too overzealous with what data 'follows' you when you go from web site to web site. The term coined for do-not-track is called "stealth browsing".

Flickr in danger? With Yahoo's big layoffs and the shutting down of some services in 2011, some people thought Flickr, a Yahoo property, wouldn't get touched because of its vibrant community. Not true. The 56-employee Flickr staff was cut by at least five people, so even they could not escape Yahoo's downsizing. If you use Flickr now, take my advice: You can still use the service if you want, but back up your photos either to USB stick, DVD, or a cloud-based storage service like Dropbox
