I am a new guy...David.
"skywagon" is what I use as a nickname.
I found your web forum via a Google search for problems with Blue Screen freezes with the error code of "BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER". When this error activates, it freezes my mouse(on a usb hub) and the ability to close 'some' programs running. The mouse pad continues to work and I can access Task Mgr. to do 'End Tasks' and close down any stuck programs. Then I reboot the HP Pavilion and it can restart normally. Usually the error code returns in clusters. It may do it 2-3 times in one day and then behave for the next couple of weeks. This laptop has the screen side finger print reader with the latest update.
I am looking for solutions to fix this. This computer and its applications seem to be up to date with updates, however, something is stepping on some memory byte and freezing the system. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated....skywagon

Welcome aboard Posted Image

I'll move this topic to the appropriate forum, as soon, as I know, what Windows version we're dealing here with.

Download BlueScreenView (in Zip file)
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.
