Hi Broni and all members. I have started to adapt a couple of free skins to my liking for my gaming based forum. On one of the skins i edited the ipbwrapper and curved the corners and padded it out a bit etc, I made it slightly narrower so there was some body around it like my joomla homepage i made, and i also edited the header/branding strip so it blended into the body and used a png i made as a banner and centered it.

Now i would like to take the logo and and branding strip out of the ipbwrapper so it sits above and the wrapper starts under it. I have already moved my admin bar to under the header. The three images shows what i would like to remove as such, so the wrapper shrinks down to the menu bars/forums. I hope this makes sense. :bald_head:

also how would i bring this button in? Thanks for any replies. :beers:

EDIT

I found the answer to the second question and thought i would add it incase it helped others.

Find ...
.sidebar_toggle
Change ...
position: absolute;
to ...
position: relative;
And add this line after ...
float: right;

Thanks to Ryan R on invision power services forum for that. :good_one:

Hi
Do you have the above skin present in live environment, so I can take a look at the code?

Thanks for the quick reply Broni but i found it with a bit of trial and error. :whistling:

I suddenly realised i was looking in the wrong place and opened up the globaltemplate. i then found ...
	<div class="container_wrap">
	<body id='ipboard_body'>
		<div id='ipbwrapper'>
			<h1>{$this->settings['board_name']}: {$header_items['title']}</h1>
			<p id='content_jump'><a id='top'></a><a href='#j_content' title='{$this->lang->words['jump_to_content']}' accesskey='m'>{$this->lang->words['jump_to_content']}</a></p>
And moved it under ...
			<div id='header'>
				<div id='branding'>
					<if test="brandingBar:|:method_exists( $this->registry->output->getTemplate( $this->registry->getCurrentApplication() . '_global' ), 'overwriteHeader' )">
						{parse template="overwriteHeader" group="{current_app}_global" params=""}
					<else />
						{parse template="defaultHeader" group="global" params=""}
					</if>
				</div>
And voila ...

It worked. :penguin03:

The only thing is all the top part the board is live, as in its clickable back to the main menu, not just the image. :oh_my_god:

Any ideas please?

Oops my bad. :oh_my_god:

When i edited the defaultheader template the first time i must have done it wrong so it never worked. The next time i tried it i did it like this ...

<a href='{$this->settings['board_url']}' title='{$this->lang->words['go_home']}' rel="home" accesskey='1'><center><img src='{parse replacement="logo_img"}' alt='{$this->lang->words['logo']}' /></center></a>

It worked but gave me the problem. I started over and this time put the tags around all of the defaultheader code and this time it worked. :1952:
