Broni, this morning I decided to download the test disk to check the hard drive. It showed bad. I think now I am out of luck. I read the manual on how to install the drive and it looks easy. Now I got to find the recovery CD or another Vista CD so I can reload the operating system and use my product ID. Thanks for all the help but for now I will have to wait until I order the drive.
