He said somehow Email Bundle, LLC got on his computer and he had them remove it .
It boots , but only into the blue screen in windows , or safe mode .

" i can't get to the desktop. i can get it to safe mode, but any selection i make beyond that takes me to the blue screen with the warning i told you about earlier. i can get safe mode, sm with networking, and sm with command prompt. i can also choose enable boot logging, enable vga mode, last known configuration, directory services restore mode, debugging mode, and disable auto restart on system failure. then I can also choose start windows normally, reboot, and return to os choices menu."

This is the message he is getting .
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated.
Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, then restart your computer.
Technical information:
***STOP: 0x0000007B (0xBA4CB524, 0x0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
This screen stays on and goes nowhere, so I can do anything.
Any ideas?

Did he try system restore?
Why don't you ask him to sign up here, so we don't have to communicate through 3rd party?

Sorry to barge in, but I get this periodacally also.
I do a disk check\"fix" and it goes away {using windows disk not dos}.
You may need to put the hd in another machine {as second hd} if you can't boot from it.
I have two post somewhere in which I talked about this...{I'll be danged if I could find
them...}

Tell him to...
LoL your post reminds me of...
That annoying "friend" who always needs computer help
Tell him to do post #11, it should do the trick, also XP NEEDS to be defrag-ed regularly {but get it running first of course}
