Hi there folks :D
Quick run down on me would probably be : I work in IT monitoring the scottish enviroment (carbon emmisions, freak weather, social impacts etc) and adore the job tbh as we also do a lot to help deprived low income families.
I'm a total IPB fanatic and have been using it since around 2004 if my memory serves right though for many years I never got much time to "tinker" as my job involved a lot of away from home time.
After suffering a stroke and discovering I had cancer I had lots more spare time so set about learning more about the workings behind the scenes of IPB and produced a couple of modifications and skins along the way which was great fun :) I still see myself as very much a novice but have always enjoyed learning new things and have been lucky enough to be blessed that anything IT related just seems to soak into my old brain lol.

I am always willing to help anyone in real life and in "net" life, lots of world problems could easily be avoided if more people thought that way instead of fighting over nonsense (saw enough of that during 12 years in the forces).
Race/creed/religion do not come into it for me, treat everyone as you would like to be treated has always worked well for me we're all the same at the end of the day ;)

Anyway enough rambling from me for now.

John

Welcome--I see you are from Scotland. I was lucky enough to visit your country a few years ago. I found it to be most interesting and lovely. Right now I am hooked on Ian Rankin's Inspector Rhebus novels. It is great to be able to visualize many of the locales in the novels after having been there. I hope you will enjoy our forum.
