On my PC now.

What about this?

C:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbarNotifier\GoogleToolbarNotifier.exe

I see it running in the Task manager but not in Programs & Features to uninstall.

Will that Toolbar remover get rid of it you posted?

This is a friends Laptop.
The Toolbar does not show in IE.
I see a Google folder in Program Files only. Not in Programs and Features either.
There's a google update service and a google software updater in Services.

I'll give her a call and see.

Thanks Broni!
I appreciate all that you do!

We can easily disable it.

Download Autoruns for Windows: http://technet.micro...s/bb963902.aspx
No installation required.
Simply unzip Autoruns.zip file, and double click on autoruns.exe file to run the program.
Go File>Save, and save it as AutoRuns.txt file to know location.
You must select Text from drop-down menu as a file type:

Re-run Autoruns and UN-check:

+ "swg" (in "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" section)
+ "gupdate" (in "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services" section)
+ "gusvc" (same section)

Restart computer.

That stopped it!

What about MBAM? I can't find a setting within the program to stop it.

I thought there might be a setting within MBAM to stop it.
Autoruns took care of it.

Thanks again BRONI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
