Yes, if I disconnect my router and connect to her laptop with it, but then I want be able to use my computer. I do however have a Belkin N Wireless adapter that I can try.

Give it a shot.

Also...
1. If the above doesn't work, hardwire her laptop and get all necessary updates. You have to do it anyway. It may fix wireless issue.
2. Did wireless work before formatting?

Yes, wireless worked before formatting.
This is what I have done.........I sent computer home with her yesterday, since she knows how to connect to the internet with wireless. I live so far out in the woods there is nothing out here for anything to pick up on. (Moving soon).
I will be going there shortly because her work computer has blue screen and she needs that by Saturday morning. I will check on the laptop while there.
Will post back with results later today.

Got there and everything is fine. Just need to show her how to updates. This case is closed. Thank you so very much for the help.

Will post about her work computer that has blue screen of death in new topic.
Be glad when I move at the end of the month and I'm not telling anyone what I know...lol
