Not really.
That must be the date when Erunt created 1st restore point.

Go Start and in "Start search" type in:
regedit
Press Enter.

Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces

You'll see several alphanumeric subfolders.
Click on each one and look in right pane.
We're looking for a subfolder, where your router is listed in right pane.

Let me know, if you found it.

For instance, this would be my correct subfolder:

I did not find anything listed about a router. No folder named DHCPDomain. I looked just where you suggested. I did see that listing in my PC but not in the one we are working on.

Broni, I tried that and it would not work. I keep getting indentfying no internet access when I click on the network icon. I am just about ready to give up and I know you are tired of messing with this thing. I will wait and see what you think. vossy

I hate to give up, but obviously several things are not working there.
Reinstallation is probably the fastest way to fix it.

One more thing before I wipe it. I put the windows xp cd in and booted it. I show this>

I am assuming the unknown is the Memory Card Readers which this computer has.
Just strange that windows was not installed on the C drive. I guess it does not matter just wondering. I also assume the (System Rese) is the utility they put on it for testing hardware. It is a Compaq PC.Ok vossy
