Good morning; I've seen mention of MagicISO on other forums, so I thought I'd ask here; I have several floppy disks that I need to run a program (two disks need to be installed), that I would like to somehow copy to a CD(s). Has anyone used this program, successfully, to create an iso to the HDD and then use Nero to burn to a CD?

An .iso file is created from the disc and used to make an exact copy of that disc when the original is no longer available, commonly used in downloading various LiveCD versions of Linux.

A large problem with floppies on multiple disks is the coding in the install routine that calls for disk 2, disk 3, etc., hard to get around that on a CD. Some floppy sets have the disk number as the disk Label for identification. [No, it's not the paper label on the disk housing.]

I use WinImage to save copies of floppies which then can make new ones for me. With a number of Notebooks and Desktops of the last few years there is no floppy drive, however there are USB floppy drives available that will work fine.

Hi Berton, I had an inkling that a reply similar to yours would be the one I received - but thought I'd see if there was a way. The machines I buy I custom order and so far I've been able to find a m/b that has a FDD connection. But as you mentioned, that day will soon come to an end and then, I guess, it will have to be an external USB type.
