19.5GB is a very small drive.
Unless you replace it with something bigger you will keep struggling.
As you can see, Windows, Program Data and Program Files folders take 15.6GB, which leaves you with 4GB of space to play around.
Even if you move some personal data out, uninstall some programs, you'll be soon back to square one.
Hard drives are very cheap these days.

Also note that by Default WinXP reserves 12% of the HDD for System Restore files while WinVista and Win7 reserve 15%. Then there is the amount of Virtual Memory [paging file] that is assigned, again it is a file on the HDD.

It's pretty much been an axiom that each new Operating System requires more HDD capacity. It wasn't a problem with DOS [Disk Operating System] but adding Win3.xx [Operating Environment] started to require more.

Put as 2nd, and 3rd party programs on an external HD.

I have my programs {2nd party such as FieryFox C.C. Cleaner, etc.} on a 200 gig external.
All my games and raw storage is located on yet another drive {1TB}....

But Mr. B is right 20 gig is SOOOO... 1980's, most cheap machines come with 100Gig or more...

Depending on your hardware you may also be able to sneak a couple of HD's in your case...

Well I having two HDDs in my system ... one is of about 250 GB & another one is 1 TB. I have a lot of free space on my other drives then C Drive. Is there anyway I can shrink the space from some other volume and increase the size of C drive. I tried windows default inbuilt storage management programme but it failed to do the needful. I should try some partition manager or something else?

No, you can't 'borrow' space from one HDD to add to another, the only way that works is if an HDD has more than one partition on it and sounds like your C: doesn't [all HDDs need at least one partition before they can be formatted and used].

If you have a lot of documents, pictures and such in My Documents/Documents you can right-click its Folder and click the Move button to put that Folder on a different/bigger partition or HDD. But do it that way so Windows and Programs know where that Folder has been moved to.

I have around Eight partitions (check the pic in first post) divided between the two disks. Also I really don't have any thing as such like huge doc, image, video or file in my documents, etc....

I did see you show "8 Hard Disk Drives" but that doesn't say they are Partitions on the only HDD. Terminology makes a big difference as adding Hard to the line says they are physically different drives and I had no choice but to take it as you wrote it.

In Vista and Win7 look in Computer Management, Disk Management section at the partitions for the choices of Shrink and Expand to change partition sizes. In WinXP you'd need a third-party partitioning program.
