no when the the first combo fix was running I seen the windows update icon appear in the left task bar. I cancelled the updates ...you said nothing should be running so I did it a second time when I knew for sure nothing was running.. it didn't disconnect until it was finished

Sorry Broni I am so tired I can't see straight..it wasn't updates..it was norton idle time scan and i had everything tuned off.. it don't show anywhere you turn off norton idle time. every off button norton had \i had turned off for 5 hours
