Okay, after reading the 'black screen' topic, my problem is nothing like that.

It's really weird. I know it's ONLY the back light.

What happens is it will randomly shut off, but if I angle the screen into some direct light, I can see all the stuff on the screen, but it's dark, obviously, since the back light is off.

Here's the weird part. At first I thought restarting would fix it, it did. Then next time it happened I thought hibernating would work, it did. Lastly, as an 'easy' fix I decided to set the screen shut off to 1 minute after going idle, and that works too.

So really, the light just randomly shuts off, and any thing that actually turns the screen off will fix the problem when the screen is turned back on.
