I recieved a 'new' to me P.C. {another Dell Optiplex GX 270}.
It came 'loaded' with XP, I was wondering what I need to do {if anything} to set it up.
I immedatly put the Fiery Fox browser on { using it now, as IE won't load S.C.}
I plan to dig up Avira\MBAMW next... {I need a new account with these?}
Any other things I should look for?

Fiery Fox???
I'd like to have some of that cider.

RE your IE, in Tools, Internet Options, Security you may need to set all to the Default level. I primarily use Firefox but some sites such as some on Microsoft require IE and sometimes the latest version.
Also for ease of use be sure to save both the Dell-branded WinXP CD and the Dell Resource CD which contains the necessary drivers. If you didn't get the drivers go to http://support.dell.com and put in the Service Tag code from the white/silver on black or black on white label on the case. Some models will have it behind a lift-up panel on the front which also has the front USB ports.
