Working on #3....#4 I don't know if any of the things we found were Trojans or not....don't think so. #5....WOT....I have for IE, but it's not compatible with FF.

Still get the same message when I go to that page, but however I changed the Security Center to download updates but to notify me before installing and it is now downloading updates.
Also in the above am I supposed to click on install solution?

.NET Framework is often pain in the butt.
You may need to download and install those updates manually.
For instance this:
Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2008 x86 (KB2572067)
Go to Microsoft site a nd search downloads for "KB2572067".
Download, install.
Then next one and so on.
You may need to download and install those updates manually.
For instance this:
