I have my sidebar enabled (and toggle free) on the right side of my index page.

I would like to create a left side vertical (or skyscraper) banner on the left hand side to show a jpg or giff and act as a clickable link.

I imagine this is easy for some of you - but I've no idea how to do it!

Grateful if someone could give me an idea of the code and where to place it.
