Just for the Puppy users on this forum who are part time linux users.

Go to your favorite radio station. I will show one of mine as a example.

http://www.chronixradio.com/

Next look for the stream links

http://www.chronixradio.com/grit

I right click on

128kbps MP3 Stream

and pick save link target as (I rename the listen.pls to something like chronix_grit.pls to keep track of my radio stations. It makes it easier)

In rox file manager I have made a DIRECTORY named VLC playlist

I save link target as to that folder. I right click on that file I just downloaded now in VLC playlist and select set run action and just type in vlc as shown in picture.

Done. Now click on a blank spot in open file manager window to get rid of the shaded file so everything in the window is pristine. Then just left click on the pls file to open vlc. VLC will play/stream .asx files also for your information.

You're done. If not having VLC in your Puppy Install. Here is the latest VLC for Puppy Linux.

If Gnome-Mplayer is installed in your Puppy Distro, It will work in that also. Just type in

gnome-mplayer

instead of vlc in run action box. These files will also play in QMMP music player also which is related to XMMS music player. My picture above is actually QMMP music player playing streaming radio.
