So I spent several hours yesterday in ipb_stlyes.css moving closer to my vision. (latest release all ipb apps)

Getting back at it this morning, all the CSS edits are reverted to default. Obviously there is a scheduled task to recache , and it re edited the CSS

How do I stop this from happening again ? Am I going to have to copy the skin , edit what I want , then use the new ?

Sorry if this is a repeated question. likely.

thanks, rick

Welcome aboard Posted Image

Unfortunately I don't know the answer.

I'd say IPS forum would be a better place to ask.

Hey Broni thanks for the welcome. And happy New Year to you !

Iv'e got a thread started over there as well.

I'm seeing it has something to do with " !important " being placed in the stylesheet. Which is causing my edits to be over ridden. Completely reverting any changes I make. Other than images of course.

When i get a solution I'll report back in if thats ok.

If you have two identical settings, but one of them has also "!important" next to it, It'll override any other setting.

Understood the !important
I get the boob award , first day of the year. :whistling:

The answer is , don't edit the cache files. If you are editing remotely , just use webdav , or if signed into the ACP , edit them there.
