I was investigating what might be inappropriate processes running on my workstation and then task manager appearance changed slightly, tabs have disappeared, only processes display and I am unable to remove task manager disabling use of task manager. I prefer not to reboot as I am in the middle of anti-malware process.

Double click any empty edge of Task Manager.

Also note that is a deliberate action to hide all the tabs but one, although the mouse can be inadvertantly clicked in the wrong place and/or at the wrong time. The last setting, tab viewed, will be the one shown when next opening TM.
