:angel_to_devil: New folders appear in my documents - such as 'my web' 'folder settings' etc. Where do they come from? :help!: :fat_face_sad:

Try to move that folder to another location, disregarding any warning, and see what will happen. You can always move it back.

What was the last piece of software you installed? For example - Installing MSOffice 2000 => Web Folders in Office 2000

What was the last thing you were doing before you noticed these folders?

Attached Image: Programmer_woman.gif Sorry for the delay but Comcast let me down!!

Broni - I moved the folder from my docs. to the desktop .... and my docs. changed in appearance (I think it is called classic view). The left-hand panel disappeared - where I was able to see the contents. I moved the folder back - and my docs appeared as normal! I had tried another folder and clicked on make all folders as this....but it didn't work until I put the folder back.

Dobhar - I read your link - I don't remember what software I downloaded last (I try any that look interesting) but I did click on various programs in the office suite which has recently been downloaded on my computer - to see what they were. Could this have done it? Attached Image: pondering_smiley.gif Attached Image: thanks_for_your_help.jpg

As per my link in my above post...when you install MSOffice you will get the My Web folder...odds are that's what happened as you said it was recently installed.

:carmen_sandiego: Yes, dobhar, that is what I concluded. What about 'folder settings'? I tried moving them as Broni suggested but 'my documents' went haywire so I am afraid to delete it. :head_wall:
