These two are recommended by Microsoft. I don't know if that is good or bad, but they are of use if winsock files are damaged by malware.

Right from the CEXX web site => "LSP-Fix is not a malware removal utility and does not target specific products. LSP-Fix does not delete any files."
You can download them but DO NOT USE THEM unless, as stated above, your winsock files are damaged by "MALWARE". They are good to keep on your HDD as backup only.

If you notice in the HJT fix, link below, I did for Deon. In post #4, step 3 & Step 4, I asked him to download these files to the HDD but don't use them...take a look at the warnings I mentioned...

Sometimes "FIXING" NewDotNet the poster will lose their internet so we get them to run the fixes if that happens. You will also usually use these fixes if your HJT log shows a "010 Entry" that looks similar to "O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'winsflt.dll' missing"

Thanks for clarifying dobhar. I have them for emergency use only. Not something to install. Your explanation is more precise and cohesive than I could give.

I guess John T, said it for me... Man you 2 work well together!
Thanks 2 both or U........

Now to D/L them 2 items........

hey question guys my typing isn't the best but I sure do have a problem with capital letters. See Capital at the beginning of this sentence. well I hit the shift key just before the c key yet it is small case? What gives. Also at the beginning Hey isn't capitalized.
See I use one or two fingers from each hand (they didn't teach boys typing when I went to HS) and have to watch the keys not the screen. So I never know till I stop typing if there is a mistake or not.
