In Topic: Can't delete 2 files......

15 January 2012 - 01:46 PM

It wouldn't let me delete them is the 'regular' Safe Mode. I tried Safe Mode Command Line, and it finally let me take them and the unneeded directory out. Thanks for the thought.

In Topic: Ambulances turned away as computer virus infects Gwinnett Medical Center computers

15 December 2011 - 08:02 PM

I realize just about every other facet of life slows or stops when computers go down, but to stop medical care - someone needs to have their stuff looked at!!

In Topic: Not a router kinda day....

19 November 2011 - 04:28 PM

I'm baaaaaacki.......

Noticed I managed to also lose my audio on the main box - so I reinstalled the chipset disc - fixed it.

Had to do some research on what the command was, it's been so long since I used it, but I found it.... ran sfc from a command prompt, and it fixed the rest of the problems, I think. At least I'm back on line.

Broni, If you find anything wrong with the above results, LMK and I'll run them again.

Sorry it took so long, but I had to crash last night after spending literally all day in front of these machines.

The requested logs....

In Topic: Not a router kinda day....

19 November 2011 - 03:29 AM

I've unplugged everything one at a time, all at once - you name it. Now I'm getting strange errors on the main box. Just tried to play a game that I was about half way thru, and it failed, just saying <game name> cannot run, and will close. Just tried to install a new version of Easeus Part Manager, and it failed with MoveFile error code 183. Reinstalled the game that failed, and it still crashed..... might be time for a clean out and up......reinstall to get rid of the BS......
