Is there anything you can run that will hunt out a particular program on your computer so you can be sure all of it is being unistalled. I am sure I have a few versions of one particular program I'd like to get rid of as it is not working right. Everytime I redownload the new version, it reacts the same way as the old. I think after unistalling the old version, that there is something being left behind that is affecting the new installation. Any advice???

Reinstalling a Microtek Scanner
22 November 2011 - 04:51 AM
I have a Microtek Slimscan C3u Flatbed Scanner that I have used off & on. it came with a installation disc that said Slimscan C3 usb & Scanmaker X6 usb. It was for Windows 98. It had a number of extra programs on it that I liked. I was told by Microtek being that I now had Windows XP I needed to download the new driver. Following Microteks instructions I uninstalled the programs and then I downloaded the driver that said it was for Windows XP
I installed the new driver DRV SW V2 60 AD......reinstalled everything from the Slimscan installation disc.. Now I keep getting this error that pops up and says "Can't Load msmgr32.dll".. and half of the programs that were on the installation disc will not work????? Any advice? AND Sorry that above was suppose to read msmgr32.dll
Thanks

[RESOLVED] Virus ????
26 October 2011 - 02:59 AM
Apparently my gmaill was compromised and from there they got my outlook express email. Traced the ip address to somewhere in France????....Now when I receive any emails into my inbox, they automatically switch over to my outbox & start sending to all my contacts. It's rather embarrassing, especially when my business contacts receive family photos etc. etc. I have been able to stop it from completeing by unchecking the automatic sending of my outbox, this gives me time to go into my outbox and delete them before they send, but this is a pain! Changing my password to outlook did not help, and I really don't want to change my email address as that would be a vast amount of work. Any advice?
Thanks

I have been told that after removing some programs from your computer there is always fragments left..after awhile there can be alot. How do you go about removing all the fragments that are left? I also have something that comes up when I log on that says Windows can not locate H:\CDsetup and to remove the reference in the registry???? I do not know how to go to the registry to remove this. Can anyone give me some advice please
