Topics I've Started

So many TV channels yet so little to watch

18 January 2012 - 02:46 AM

This is just a mini rant but am I the only one that has noticed we have a lot of stations but with little to really watch? I don't get HBO or Show time or even on demand because I am not that much into TV anymore so I guess part of the problem is with me.

I have maybe 8-10 things I like to watch and after that I am pretty much back to the computer to mess with my photos, and participate on graphic forums etc.

Here is a little list of some the programs I try to avoid because I find them just stupid with no talent required.

The Ink Masters: = show about tattoo inkers becoming professionals
The Housewives of OC Beverley Hills, Atlanta: They do nothing but get liposuction and blah blah
Baseball wives: No they don't play they just reap the benefits and have no talent
Basketball wives: Some of these aren't even wives I have been told, just out to lunch do nothing folks
Wife swap: Trade places to make another family act like yours, thrills a mile a minute NOT
Pawn stars: Yeah those trying to pawn their personal possessions are stars, Not in my neighborhood
Hardcore Pawn: Never watch it mus be porn pawn or things to do with pawned objects?
Hoarders: Yeah we are supposed to feel sorry for these folks that have turned their homes into pig pens, it is now a mental condition although I just think they are lazy pigs
Moonshiners : Yeah how to make your hooch without getting caught
Swamp People: These are not Rhodes scholars and I really don't care about mosquito infested living conditions.
Teen Mom: She has a baby and is trying to care for it and grow up. Haven't most of us seen this in real time and it is a train disaster?
Mob wives: Yes these are some mouthy low lives in living color.
Love and Hip hop: Sorry I won't watch this don't like rap crap and or hip hop. Just ghetto crap to me
Toddlers and Tiaras: Looney toons moms going over the edge to turn their little girls into the prom queen they never were.
Gator boys: More in the swamp with your favorite Alligator
Kourtney and Kim take New York: Rich little flakes trying to stay pretty stupid and succeeding
1000 ways to die: No thanks life automatically takes it's toll
Dr. Drew: Head shrink for the stars, or in reality a leech trying to milk his name for money

What is best Anti spyware software?

03 January 2012 - 03:43 PM

I have been using Super antispyware Pro for a few years, and all of a sudden it would not start up on my desktop so went to the manufacturer's site where I am a member on their forum and upon reading some posts noted many are not happy with the software anymore. The company was bought out by a new one and according to posts updates are slow and response on questions are poor with suggestion to uninstall reinstall as the main answer for problems.

I am not that dedicated to any software but more on keeping current on the best I can find either free or paid for. The reviews on software seem to be a bit phony so seeking input for evaluation.

I am leaning toward the paid for version of malwarebytes has pretty good track record for the last seven years or so, but am open to discussion.

40,000 New Laws on the books nation wide

02 January 2012 - 04:02 PM

If you don't think for one moment that we are a Government Nanny nation than just read some of the new laws that are now in effect in the United States some local and some national.
I am not against those that make sense but with State and local Governments not doing their jobs correctly like keeping budgets balanced, repairing facilities and infrastructure, providing enough funds for basic education for our children, the thing I see is that they are hard at work trying to get more out of our pockets or making sure our behavior matches the region you live in.
I really do feel that all legislators should be in a part time position with term limits so that they have to go back to a job and government does not become their primary employment.

Mob Brawl at Mall of America

28 December 2011 - 04:02 PM

http://www.washingto...AI2KP_blog.html

This keeps happening where young morons figure they can act up and not face the consequences. So a mob of young folks brawl in the Mall and than run like the low life cowards that they are. Security/Law enforcement needs to get their heads out of the sand and start planning for these things, they will continue until procedures are in place to nail the little monsters. There are control rooms with TV's monitoring the mall, and what is needed is a lockdown situation so no one leaves trapping the low lifes where they are at, quick response from local PD and mall security and round up the trash and prosecute. It may anger some innocent folks at being temporarily detained but with video and personal identification of the offenders it will take no time to put the trash in jail.

Thanks mom and dad for not training your child to be respectful and have moral character that might take effort and perhaps even a Christian background, heaven forbid that you might have decent values..................
