FireFox 57.0

Recommended Posts

I have that same problem again with the Ransomware. Everytime FireFox updates to 57.0 I get that same big red warning. I have now changed notice for updates to let me decide when to install, however before I could get here to change it, it updated, but will not install until I restart FireFox. How to I stop that from happening?

I found these, do any of them look good enough to try?

Waterfox is made for Windows 64-bit, based on the Mozilla Firefox code and is said to be fast.

Opera – Opera’s newest Web browser introduces a new technology platform, Opera Unite, allowing you to stream music or share files, photos and more, right from the browser. Take a look at our Open Neon browser review too.

Firefox Light is a slimmed down version of Firefox.

Are you getting that warning from inside Firefox?

if so....

Reset Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems

If the above didn't help...

Uninstall Firefox completely using this manual: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/uninstall-firefox-from-your-computer
NOTE. Use MozBackup: http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/ to backup your bookmarks and passwords. Do NOT backup anything else.
Install fresh copy.

Then upgrade.

Sorry don't know what you mean by inside Firefox. I just know that when it auto updates I get that warning.

The below is what is there but I haven't restarted Firefox. I just shut down at night and start computer in the mornings

and leave running all day. I have change updates not to update auto.

Firefox updated again, it's now at 57.0.1 and I don't see that warning. Will see how it goes, maybe they fixed the problem.

This is what I have now, below.

Will let you know in few days how it is doing.
